FACILITIES

1.  ROOMS FOR THE STUDENTS:-
There are 287 single and 10 double seated rooms. The total accommodation for students
Is 307 seats. These are distributed among the constituent Colleges and Institutes as under:

2. Mess
'B'MESS:-
In this mess snacks & tea are provided. This mess is on the ground floor.
Timings: - 7.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m

3. PHYSICAL ACTIVITY :-
GYMNASIUM
A gymnasium, which has all the physical exercise equipment, is on the ground floor. Timing - 6.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m.

INDOOR GAMES
Hall on the first floor is reserved for indoor games. In this hall two Tennis Tables, Two Carom Bords and one Chess Board are available for the residents of the Hostel. Timing- 6.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m.

4. MEDICAL FACILITY :-
A visiting doctor is available for an hour every day (four days in a week). The hostel supplies some urgently needed medicines free of cost. Each patient, however, has to pay Rs.5per consultation and has to buy the prescribed medicines, which are not available in the dispensary. Injection charges are Rs. 5/- per injection

5. READING ROOM:-
This room provides the facility of reading the newspapers and magazines for the residents. Newspapers are available in the reading room while the magazines are available with the watchmen of the hostel. While taking the magazine the resident has to make an entry in the register kept with the watchmen. Newspapers and magazines are not allowed to take in the room.

6.TELEVISION :-
A television that is supplied by the Rural Broadcasting unit of Mumbai and serviced by them has been installed for the residents in the hall of Ground Floor.
Timings:- 7.00a.m. to 11.00 p.m. (Except Saturday)
Saturday :- 7.00a.m to 1.00 a.m.
Timing during the examination days is informed time to time.

7.VISITING ROOM :-
Since ladies are not allowed to go to the rooms, a visiting room is reserved on the ground floor. Timing - 10.00a.m. To 6.00 p.m.

8. WASHERMAN :-
There are two washerman to serve the students at reasonable rates.

9. FURNITURE :-
Each resident is given
a) A Table
b) A Chair
c) A Book Rack
d) An Iron Cot
e) A Wall Niche With Shelves

10. CLEANING AND OTHER SERVICES :-
Rooms are swept by hamals while the sweepers clean the lavatories every day.
On every Tuesday the entire hostel is cleaned with phenyl and acid.
