The function commenced with the address and welcome note by the Emcee, Mr Nikhil Bodade.

Professor Daswani then took the dais and proceeded to explain the significance of The Law Review, and its novelty in being entirely a student creation. He chalked out the future options and course that the Law Review aspired to embark upon, expressing the sincere objective of the Law Review Committee and the College of attaining for the publication the stature of contemporary and foreign publications in the times to come.

Professor Daswani's inspiring address was followed by the launch of the Law Review by Mr. Justice Y.V Chandrachud.

The Committee was delighted and honored to then have on the dais the august presence of Mr. Justice Y.V Chandrachud who proceeded to address the gathering and share his experience as the Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review. The final address was by Adv. Abu Jalliwala, who shared his experience as an author of an article in the Law Review. He spoke of the strict standards laid down by the committee that were required to be conformed with and noted good humouredly the 'suffering' an author has to undergo to finally conceive an article that would match the expected standards. He also noted how this 'suffering' would increase with the standard of The Law Review over the years. A 'suffering' the Law Review for once readily welcomes!

Finally the vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Naira Variava who expressed her gratitude on behalf of the Law Review Committee to all those who were an integral part of the publication. She also thanked those that very kindly graced the occasion with their presence.

Post the event, the guests present were invited for snacks and an informal interaction. This interaction was indeed quite rewarding for the authors in its opportunity to get valuable feedback from their editors.
