SPIL Mumbai - What is it?

SPIL Mumbai, a Regional Member of SPIL INDIA (the bold link would be to www.spilindia.org) and therefore a chapter member of the International Law Students Association, (ILSA), Washington, has been recently established at Government Law College, Mumbai. For SPIL Mumbai, International Law is an area of enquiry and study far wider than the traditional principles governing nations and international institutions. The Founders of SPIL Mumbai, President Atman Mehta and Vice President Rahul Donde, firmly believe that in the increasingly integrated world of today with growing trans-national interactions, the significance of International Law has never been greater.

SPIL Mumbai - Its Objective and Idea

In keeping with this belief SPIL Mumbai aims to widen the perspective of law students and provide exposure that goes beyond the classroom; so that by the time they graduate, they are equipped to succeed and contribute meaningfully to the legal profession. SPIL Mumbai aims to broaden the perspectives of law students by enabling them to have a deeper understanding of the tumultuous nature of International Relations and to promote a greater awareness and understanding of various aspects of International Law. SPIL Mumbai intends to capture the idea of pro-active learning through student involvement and endeavors to give it an organizational structure.

So far SPIL Mumbai has successfully completed three events organised at the state and national level. The following would give you a brief of the said events:
