V-YEAR LAW COURSE


Total number of seats: 160

Additional Division for 1st year of the 5 year course

Government Law College vide Mumbai University Letter No. Aff/Recog. -1/5179/2006 dated 29th September 2006 and vide G.R. No. SVM2005/(604/05)/Mashi-1 dated 22nd August 2006
Has been permitted one additional division of 80 students for 1st year of the 5 year course, from the academic year 2006-07 on unaided basis.

Eligibility

Minimum 45% marks required, when candidate passes his examination in the first attempt
Minimum 40% marks required, for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Cast and Scheduled Tribe

Previous year cut-off percentage: 2004 - 2005

Maharashtra Category - Open Category: 77.83%

Other Board - Open Category: 82.40%

Cost of Admission Form:

Admission forms are available for Rs 15 from college office.
Availability and Submission of Form
Forms are available from Room 12 on ground floor from 8 June 2005 to 13 June 2005 between 9.30 am to 12.00 noon. Submission of fully completed forms can be done at Room 12 on ground floor of the college till 14 June 2005 till 3.00 pm.

Declaration of cut-off list and names of successful candidates
The first cut-off list will be declared on 17 June 2005 at 3.00 pm at the college office. The same will also be made available on this website.

Interview and Admission Fees Payment
Successful candidates are required to go through an interview on the day of admission. Admissions and collection of academic fees will be made on 18, 19 and 20 June between 9.30 am to 12.00 noon. Candidates must have all their mark sheets and other relevant documents in original for verification. Candidates are also required to submit an eligibility certificate from Mumbai University. However, this can also be done within one week of taking admissions in the college.

Fees
The total amount of fees payable to the college normally does not exceed Rs 3500 for Indian Nationals. The fees for SC and ST students are lower than that of the normal category. Kindly note that the hostel fees is not payable at the college but at the hostel separately. The fees as mentioned above is only the college fees and does not include the costs for accommodation for students who require the hostel facility. The total fees payable for the Hostel facility is about Rs 3200 for each term (semester).
